  1. Begin at the Basilica Cistern, then walk to Hagia Sophia. Continue to Topkapi Palace to explore the former seat of the Ottoman court.

    From Topkapi Palace, continue on foot to the Blue Mosque. Finish at the Hippodrome, the former centre of public life and chariot racing in Byzantine Constantinople.
