Day 1 - Arrival to Istanbul
Our driver will pick you up from the international arrivals of Istanbul or Sabiha Gokcen Airports. You will drive to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure in your hotel until our guide takes you to an orientation tour in the city and dinner. You will be dropped back to your hotel for an overnight and rest for your family’s Istanbul escape.
Day 2 - Sultanahmet; The Old City of Istanbul
Our guide will meet you at your hotel after breakfast and take you on a walking tour in Sultanahmet square, where the majestic landmarks of Istanbul stand. You will walk the square to see the Walled Obelisk, The Serpentine Column, and the Obelisk of Theodosius III. You will visit the Blue Mosque than to see the peerless blue tiles of the grand mosque of Sultan I Ahmet. The Hagia Sophia is just right across the blue mosque, and you will explore this huge cathedral from top to bottom. You will be able to picture the beautiful mosaics on the huge walls of Hagia Sophia. You will be amazed by the level of architecture in the 7th Century of the Byzantium ages. Our guide will take you to the underground, then to Yerebatan, a water cistern, and was just one of Istanbul's important water reservoirs to the city's palaces. After having lunch in a local restaurant near the cistern, you will visit the Topkapi Palace, home to the Ottoman Sultans and their Harem for more than four centuries. After exploring the kitchens, harem apartments, and administrative structures, you will visit the treasury and the chamber of holy relics. We recommend a cup of Turkish coffee while enjoying the spectacular views of the palace to the Bosporus of Istanbul before getting back to your hotel.
Day 3 - Bosporus Cruise
You will be picked up by our guide in the morning for a nice walk from the old city of Istanbul to Eminonu for your Bosporus cruise. You will sail to the cool waters of the Bosporus to an experience only Istanbul can offer, sailing in between two continents but in one city. The water's civil and imperial structures reflect the splendor and elegance of the city during the Ottoman times. You will be able to take spectacular pictures of Istanbul while listening to the stories of the structures embellishing the water strait. You will return to Eminonu after two hours and will be able to explore the Mosque of Rustem Pasha before having lunch. The mosque is smaller than the Blue Mosque, making her jealous because of the unrivaled blue tiles decorating the structure. After lunch, you will visit the Spice Market and taste the world-famous Turkish delights. The spice market was the eastern and western tradesmen's meeting point until the seamen found the new routes of Europe and still tries to perpetuate its oriental glamour. You will walk back to your hotel after a photo stop in front of the Sirkeci Train Station, the last stop of the Orient Express, which inspired Agatha Christie.
Day 4 - A day in the Bosporus
Our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in the morning for your drive by the Bosporus to the last Imperial Palace of the Ottomans, Dolmabahce. Even though built-in debt, the palace is a beautiful example of the Baroque and Rococo style and was completed by Garabet Balyan in 1856. After exploring the Ottoman sultans' last administrative building, you will continue into the Bosporus to Ortakoy. You can take the most impressive pictures of the city with the Bosporus Bridge connecting Asia to Europe. After having lunch in a local restaurant in Ortakoy, you will continue to Beyoglu, a pedestrian-only street and the heart of Istanbul. You will walk from the Taksim square to the Galata area and see the old and new combined. Our guide will take you to Galata Tower to get spectacular views of the city before finishing the day in Karakoy with the world-famous baklava. You will get back to your hotel afterward to rest.
Day 5 - Istanbul on Food and Turkish Bath
Our guide will meet you at your hotel in the morning after breakfast and take you to the Asian side of Istanbul, which is missed by many tourists. You will take a journey in food this time and learn about Anatolia's kitchen, which is a real blending pot of the East and the West. After exploring the small eateries, patisseries and tasting the delicious street food of Istanbul, our guide will drop you at one of the Turkish Baths of Istanbul to relive the tiredness of the city. You will be dropped back at your hotel afterward.
Day 6 - Treasure Hunt and the Grand Bazaar
You will meet our guide in the morning to take you on a journey in time in the world-famous Grand Bazaar of Istanbul. Did you know that Grand Bazaar is the oldest and active Bazaar in the world? You will follow our crew's instructions for the treasure hunt in the Grand Bazaar, which is an exciting activity for all sizes of families. You will have lunch in a local restaurant right in the Bazaar and will shop till you drop, if you like, in the thousands of streets and shops of the Bazaar, before getting back to your hotel for your last night in Istanbul.
Day 7 - Departure
Your designated driver will take you to one of the airports of Istanbul in the morning for a flight to your next destination or back home…
