Day 2 - Walking the Old City of Istanbul

After meeting with your guide at the hotel at the desired time, you will first walk to the old city of Istanbul called Sultanahmet today. After strolling around the Obelisk of Thutmose III, the walled Obelisk, and the Serpent Column, you will visit the Blue Mosque full of world-famous blue tiles of the Iznik. The next stop is the Hagia Sophia, which was the seat of the Patriarchate of Constantinople for more than 7 centuries and was used as an Eastern Orthodox Cathedral. Yerebatan cistern is located nearby the Hagia Sophia that will be visited before lunch. Topkapi Palace will be visited at the end of the day, which will take you to the wealthy Ottoman ages, reflecting this huge empire's splendor. You will be dropped at your hotel at the end of the tour for an overnight in Istanbul.

Day 3 - Cruise the Bosporus and the Oriental Bazaars

You will meet your guide at your hotel at the desired time again and will take a walk to Eminonu to explore the Spice Market, which was the final destination of the Spice and the Silk Road for many centuries. A public ferry will then take you on a cruise between Asia and Europe in the Bosphorus of Istanbul. The strait is jeweled by beautiful mansions and palaces, which is a great way to take memorable Istanbul photos. Rustem Pasha's mosque awaits you by the port right after you leave your boat full of Iznik tiles making the Blue Mosque jealous. You will continue up to Suleymaniye Mosque than to see one of the best examples of the grand architect of the Ottomans, Sinan. Finish the day in the Grand Bazaar before getting back to your hotel for an overnight in Istanbul.

Day 4 - Gallipoli

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up by your guide and driver for your 4-hour drive to Gallipoli. Gallipoli is the most dramatic battlefield of the First World War, and more than 250,000 soldiers perished during the sea and land wars between the Allied forces and the Ottoman Empire. The courageous defense of the Ottoman soldiers, who were led by Ataturk, founder of the Turkish Republic, changed the First World War outcome. The battlefields are significant for Turkish, Australian, and New Zealand soldiers because of the incredible number of young soldiers these three nations lost in the Dardanelles. After visiting the memorials of the Anzac (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) soldiers, you will visit the Turkish Memorial and hear the tearful stories of World War I. You will pass from Europe to Asia via a ferry journey and stay overnight in the attractive Canakkale city.

Day 5 - Troy

After breakfast at your hotel, you will depart with your guide and driver to the ancient city of Troy, where the legendary Trojan War took place, according to the Ancient Greek epic poem "The Iliad" by Homer. You may be able to hear the voices of Hector and Achilles daring each other as you wander the 12 archaeological levels of this ancient site. A one-hour drive will then take you to Assos, located on top of a hill overlooking the Aegean Sea, Lesvos Island, and the Dardanelles Strait. From the top of Assos's ancient site, amazing views can be obtained from the Temple of Athena. This city has been significant since Aristotle opened his first school here. Aristotle became head of a group of philosophers, and together they made innovative observations on zoology and biology. When the Persians attacked Assos, King Hermias was caught and put to death. Aristotle fled to Macedonia, which was ruled by his friend King Philip II of Macedon. There, he tutored Philip's son, Alexander the Great. There is a modern statue of Aristotle at the town entrance. After lunch in Behramkale village by the ancient city, you will be driven to Pergamon, which will take approximately 3 hours. Overnight in Pergamon.

Day 6 - Pergamon

After breakfast at the hotel and a short drive, the bus will park, and we will catch the cable car to the Acropolis of the ancient city of Pergamon, which means "the city on top of the hill." The palaces, important temples, theatre, arsenal, and library are standing on the hilltop, overlooking the modern-day city of Bergama and the fertile plains that stretch beyond the Aegean Sea waters. The Temple of Zeus, which once stood in this magnificent city, is cited in the Bible as "the throne of Satan." However, the city houses one of Revelation churches, which will be visited after strolling in the magical Acropolis. Serapis temple was built for the Egyptian water god, but it was converted to a church in early Christianity. The residents of Bergama city still use one tower of this complex as a mosque, and you may have the opportunity to visit it unless the prayers occupy it. After lunch in the old town of Bergama city, you will be driven to the Sanctuary of Asclepius, the god of healing. This ancient hospital is the first place on earth where music and psychotherapy were used as alternative medicine treatments. After this tour, a 3-hour drive will take you to Denizli City for the Overnight.

After visiting the Roman Baths, a walk over the white carbonate natural thermal pools will be the highlight of the day. You will have your lunch across the Pamukkale travertines and rest on the way to the Ancient City of Aphrodisias, located 1,5 hours away from Pamukkale. This ancient city has been the biggest and most important cult of the Goddess of Beauty of the Greeks that we can understand from the Temple of Aphrodite's gigantic columns. The Tetrapylon, located nearby, is the best rebuilt ancient relic of the Greek world in Anatolia. The Sebasteion and the Museum of Aphrodisias are proofs of the level of the people's sculpture art in Aphrodisias. While walking from the city agora to the harbor agora, you will see Hellenistic architecture's best examples. Before finishing the trip by the Library of Celsus and Ephesus' mighty theater, the Terrace Houses are a must.
