Day 1 - Istanbul to Gallipoli
Meet your guide and driver at your Istanbul hotel in the morning. Start driving to Gallipoli right away. Lunch is recommended on the way or at Gelibolu town in a small restaurant overlooking the Dardanelles strait. After lunch, your tour in the Gallipoli peninsula will start with a stop at the Anzac Cove. A hike up to the lone pine or drive is possible afterward. You will be able to read the open letter from Ataturk, founder of the Turkish Republic, to the Australian mothers. Lone Pine memorial will be seen before a stop at the 57th Regiment Memorial of the Ottoman army. Before leaving Gallipoli National Park, a visit to the Cunuk Bair is recommended to see a New Zealand Memorial and both sides' trenches. A break in a small village located in the middle of the National Park will be followed by a drive to the Canakkale Martyr's Memorial, which is in the Southernmost point of the Gallipoli peninsula, where The Dardanelles meet Aegean Waters. Eceabat town next, to take a ferry to Canakkale city. After checking in to your hotel, a little walk in the promenade and the attractive city center of Canakkale is a must. Overnight in Canakkale.
Day 2 - Troy and Back to Istanbul
After a nice breakfast, we will first visit Troy, where the legendary Trojan War took place, according to the Ancient Greek epic poem "The Iliad" by Homer. You may be able to hear the voices of Hector and Achilles daring each other as you wander the 12 archaeological levels of this ancient site. The Trojan Horse awaits you in Troy's ancient city to play the heroes of the ancient ages. After the photos, you will start driving back to Canakkale city to take the ferry from Asia to Europe again and drive back to Istanbul.
