UMA VIAGEM PELA HISTÓRIA
Os hititas foram o primeiro povo na Anatólia a estabelecer um estado bem organizado e um sistema legal. Seu império se estendia do oeste da Turquia até a Síria e o norte do Iraque, e eles foram uma das poucas civilizações que assinaram um tratado de paz com o antigo Egito — o famoso Tratado de Kadesh.
Hattusha serviu como o coração pulsante deles. Embora abandonada por volta de 1200 a.C. devido a invasões e declínio natural, as ruínas permaneceram escondidas até serem redescobertas no início do século 20.
